Although the this packaging shot for the PS3 is obviously a mockup presented back when E3 2005 took part – hence the old controller and non-professional look and feel, it still makes you wonder what the final box design will look like. I ask that because I really like the packaging design for the Xbox 360. It has that Apple packaging design appeal to it with a lot of white, nice typography and minimal colours. All Sony has to do to pull off a nice box design, in my opinion, is represent the brand’s colours, font and a shot of the PS3 on the box and nothing else. The simpler the better I say.

The final will probably be all black with the Spiderman font a cool shot of the PS3…that’s it.
