New PSP Coming Next Year

This comes as a surprising shock to me and probably to a lot of you as well. Around March of next year, Sony will unveil a new, enhanced PSP in Japan based on the current model. The news broke in the latest issue of PlayStation Magazine and here are the supposed upgrades:
-Reached a deal with Samsung to purchase 8GB flash memory chips which will be built in according to industry reports
-Miniature hard disk drives are out
-Will be streamlined and thinner and lighter
-Sony is still expected to include a still/video camera of undetermined resolution as a built-in feature of the new PSP
With the improved memory function, camera and slimmer, lighter design, I might just have to hold out and pick one of these up if they reach North America. This screenshot is just a mockup, so it will be interesting to see if they stay within the compounds of the current design, or listen to the gamer’s crys for help regarding the difficutly in playing on a PSP for extended periods of time.

Hardisk drives are out? If I wait and buy the 07 PSP how will I play current UMD games on it?
Walter, a hard disc drive is not the same as a disc drive. the umd drive is a disc drive, while the storage found in a video ipod is a hard disc drive or aka harddrive.
theres no need for 8 gigs of flash now that the 8 gig memory stick is right around the corner. and I heard that the 16 and 32 gig could come as early as May.
one of my reasons for getting a psp over an ipod was the fact that its screen was large enough for movies but it could still fit in my pocket. If they make it smaller, movies will nolonger be enjoyable.
my only complaints about the original psp were its screen brightness, and start button placement.
a camera would be nice although I feel they should try to make an all in one camera/microphone/keboard/gps attachment for those who already bought the original psp. If they can there really wouldnt be a need for a new psp that could potentialy anger those like me who already bought a psp.
dont worry rick sony has already stated that this rumor is false. when they say playstation magazine they fail to mention that it was PSM not OPM, OPM standing for OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE, while PSM stands for playstation magazine.
if you upgrade your psp does that mean you cant download any more things
can you explain how you play multiplayer on psp
