Lava Kroft vs. Lara Croft

Singaporean publisher Ozura Mobile is trying to get a handset game called “Lava Kroft” out the video game door, but Eidos is steamed at the thought of it. I had a good chuckle at this “game” which sounds like a bad parody adult film title gone sour. Lava Kroft’s publisher is obviously oblivious to the direct relation to Tomb Raider or just doesn’t give a rat’s behind, I say the latter. It sounds like they just hoped no one noticed. Here’s how they describe the game:
An “epic action adventure…” “…a new age woman who has an exceptional thirst for discovering some of the most intriguing and mystical treasures in the world”. Yeah that kinda does sound like Tomb Raider to me. What were they thinking? We’ve seen rip-offs before, remember “Max Payene”? These were just bootlegs but it was just another reminder of the many ways the game industry gets ripped off.
