    Frustration

    By Paul | August 16, 2006

Tetris MissGaming is not perfection every time you pick up a controller, but how do you get past the frustration, the irritation of making all the wrong moves? Some days can literally be the top of your game, pulling off moves on the Mario Kart track that would make Michael Schumacher proud, and others can be just the downright crazed hell that is Tetris past level 20.

It gets late, you get tired, you start to make mistakes. Any normal person would just stop and go to bed or something, but, well, I know how us gamers are. We’ll push through it, we’ll bring it to the next level.

What do you like to do to get past that brain fart, when a game just either is really damned hard (Ikaruga anyone?), that other CS:S player is an “AIMBOT” or something just isn’t meshing between brain and fingers? What’s your best way to get the frustration out?

I used to smash those NES controllers a lot to vent (how they still function I'll never know). For the SNES I would smash the game eject flap as hard as I could to see how high I could get the game in the air. These days though, some well placed sarcasm gets the job done well, even if I'm gaming alone.
Like, "Grrreat isn't that neat?" (insanely sarcastic tone) That's all ya gotta do
