    Emerging Soon?

    By Richard Windsor | August 2, 2006

Ever since the guys and gals at Epic announced this big announcement Gears of War fans have been swarming the forums with all types of conspiracy theories about what lay in store. Everything from a XBL Demo to a simple release date have been pondered, but one website has some evidence, while not yet verified, leads us to believe that Emergence Day is not so far away.

It appears that Wal-Mart employees are receiving Gears of War promotional material such as lanyards and pins. If this is true it would mean that Epic is planning to release the game very soon, and as you could imagine they would not send out promotional material this far in advance of a November release.

Until Epic actually says something solid I would take this article as just a rumor. It would be an easy picture to fake, but if it turns out to be true, ohhhhh happy day!
