Dead Rising Interview & Review

deadrisinginterview.jpgWhile our review of Dead Rising is coming shortly, I wanted to point out that IGN has awarded the game an 8.3 out of 10 and would’ve received a higher score had the save system and numerous load times been up to snuff. The award for the highest score goes to the sound department at a 9.0 (sound guy cheers) followed by the graphics at an 8.5. Gameplay got a weak 7.5 because the Zombies “got in the way” which I thought was the whole point. But I do understand if they are referencing the inevitable repetitive task of slashing and dashing. Here is the full review. Coincidentally, Gamespot’s review was 8.4 out of 10. A live review of the game will commence tomorrow at 4pm PT. Hmm are these guys trading numbers?

In keeping with the week-long Zombie theme, Major Nelson reports of an interview with Dead Rising’s Executive Producer Keiji Inafune. He will be in a…ahem, mall at the EB Games in Redmond WA Town Center from 4pm-6p PT. So if you live close by, head on over and get your copy autographed (with his own blood).

Anyone who would trust IGN for a game review should be hung by their entrails.

He never said he trusted it, just pointing it out. But I guess you’re saying “others”. Yeah who can you trust except yourself? That’s why you just have to play it.
