I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Dead Rising Crashing

Submitted by on August 13, 2006 – 2:33 pm6 Comments

Walter on Game Break has some info and a video (below) on Dead Rising crashing or freezing for some folks. It’s happening for people on ArsTechnica and MaxConsole too. They will be playing for a while and then it will freeze up. Now I can only think of two reasons why this would occur. One is that the game wasn’t thoroughly playtested and their could be some bug at a certain checkpoint in the game. Or two, faulty Xbox 360′s that are somewhat incompatible as a result of taxing the CPU. I’m not putting a blame on one particular issue; it could be any number of things, or it may not be an issue at all as every game, no matter how well it was developed, crashes at some point. Computers aren’t perfect, except for my 20 year old Casio calculator.

  • I just noticed watching the video again, that’s a pretty sweet gaming setup.

I have played through the game 4 times already and so far not one freeze or crash!

Yeah, I’d guarantee its the peoples systems and NOT the playtesting issue… Mine works flawless.

On a similar note, my buddys 360 worked excellent, zero problems … untill he played chromehounds… it was the only game his system wouldn’t play… he called Microsoft, and they sent him an replacement system.

no biggy. all new hardware has glitches with the exception of nintendos because they use years old technology

oh that kind of locking up happened to me when I played Oblivion-It is ANNOYING! I phoned take 2 games and they said the “disc may be faulty” so I got a replacement disc and seems ok now, but the heat that my 360 generates is scary!- at least I will be warm this winter. PS3 may have blueray, but 360 has a built in home heating system!
