Coca Cola Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Ad

What would the Coca-Cola company do if they had a Grand Theft Auto-themed commercial? Would they show the dark side of the ever so popular game? Would they show beatings, muggings and shootings? Heck no, they’d show the lighter, more upbeat side of the media’s game they love to hate. In this CG spot done by the agency Wieden & Kennedy for Coca-Cola, we see our iconic GTA hero hinting at negative practices as we know them but all he wants to do is share the love that is Coca-Cola. It’s a funny parody and some well done CG for a game that hasn’t always had the most positive connotations associated with it. The agency also hit the nail on the head with the style of animation, spoofing the latest CG movies that we see these days with that happy-go-lucky, naive look and feel.
