    Adam Sandler Donates Playstations

    By Shane | August 17, 2006

sandlerps2.jpgThe comedic actor better known for punching Bob Barker and appearing in one of my favorite movies Punch Drunk Love is not only giving $100,000 to the children of the north and south of Israel but is also donating a whopping 400 Playstations to Israelis whose homes were destroyed recently in the war. I’m not sure why Sandler thought that Playstations would help with the war effort, but it’s definitely the thought that counts in situations such as these. Perhaps those who are fortunate enough to get their hands on one will avoid the violent games and stick to uplifting titles to raise their spirits, which I’m sure is what Sandler had in mind. Whether or not they’re PS1’s or PS2’s is not confirmed, but I do hope they throw in a game or two rated with an “E” for Everyone.

This strikes me as very dumb... so you give them a bunch of Playstations but no games??? The kids are probably poor (hence the donation) and given the war the families would really want to use cash on necessities instead of a bunch of games wouldn't they?
