Dead Rising is a good enough game on its own, but I decided to put a small guide together to help make the experience better for those who have yet to play. This is not a full walkthrough just some helpful tips to keep you alive and enjoy the game more.

10. Smash Every Box

    Blades + Books = Fun

You can make the Katana (my personal favorite) last 3x longer, the hedge trimmers and chainsaw up to like 9x longer or something if you get the right combo of books.

Also, there’s a book that makes your escorts more aggressive. You’d be surprised how much it helps. And I agree to not give them guns, I’ve been killed by survivors almost as much as by zombies.

    Adam’s Chainsaws!

Best weapon in the game, and the criminal, entertainment, and engineering books all affect them, so they last forever!

  • Peanut

Personally, I really enjoyed the story line.. It’s like playing a Land of the Dead movie.

  • Richard

I enjoyed the storyline to but to get the true ending can be a bit hard if you are not at a high level!

The easy way to get the huntin shack is to kill the prisoners on the jeep then take their gun to the huntin shack and kill the guy in there its really easy once you have the place

HEy i want to were can i jump the motorccycle so i can get the acheviment

I got the achievement for the car jump by simply getting the convict’s vehicle (any car will do, except I think the van), then going to leisure park, and going really fast against the sides of the pond. The jolt should bounce you high enough to get the achievement. If this does not work with the motorcycle, then try it near Seon’s (the supermarket). There are some ramps around there that should give you enough of a jump to get it. Also, like josh said, if you’re having trouble with pretty much ANY boss, then get the turrent from the convicts. I defeated Carlito in the first encounter with like 5 shots!
