Here’s your chance to fire a real paintball gun from anywhere in the world without actually touching the gun. The Golden Shot is a live online game which allows you to hit a target via instant messenger (iChat or AIM) located at the Q-Arts Gallery in Derby, UK. If you’re interested in shooting some rounds off, the game is available between 14.00 – 15.00 hours British Summer Time [13.00 – 14.00 GMT, 09.00 – 10.00 ET, 06.00 – 07.00 PT, 15.00 – 16.00 CET). The exhibition runs from 22 July 2006 – 10 September 2006.

The gun will point at a target (country) of your choice by telling it to move up or down and then fire a shot off when you’re ready. You’ll then receive feedback on your accuracy and send you a certificate via Instant Messenger.

Looks like I’ll have to install AIM as I only use Messenger.
