How Much Juice Does Your Console Need?

The folks at DX Gaming composed a chart of how much energy consoles would suck up over a set period of time. Not surprisingly the XBOX 360 needs a staggering 17.52 kWh and an annual cost of $20.10 (while on). The article is quite detailed and includes power consumption charts for things like standby mode, hard drive usage, games played and finally a total annual cost. It’s a pretty interesting read and makes me wonder if I need to start budgeting my paychecks to run my 360!
