Butchering the classics – NES style

Feel like re-working classic tunes to hear how they sound if played through an 8-Bit console? After reading this post on Kotaku, I tried my hand at the tutorial it mentions (running Garageband), and it works! After fooling with the plugin for a while, I had an idea – what if I were to re-purpose classic tunes using the Magical 8bit filter, by importing some cheesy .mid files I had lying around.
Listen (3.6MB mp3) and see if you can name the tune (and excuse the guitar solo going a little pear-shaped).
