Axe has always had some pretty funny ad campaigns in the past. But since when do guys who play games not have girlfriends? It’s easy to point the finger at “game geeks” but that’ll change damn you, that’ll change! Actually, it’s already changing, or it’s already changed to the point where it’s an old stigma that just won’t let go.

    Nope, just about every game has a significant other these days. Games are like movies – you can both enjoy it together except games are a little more interactive.

    Even though I am a married gamer, I still find the stereotype of socially inept geek gamers alive and well at my local Gamestop. Anything that encourages them to use better hygiene is good by me.

    I wouldn’t be so annoyed by this if Axe didn’t also spend so much money to place ads in video games. You can only make fun of your “target market” so much before it backfires.
