Tilt Control: Warhawk Devs only knew 2 weeks in advance

I see that on Eurogamer, Sony Europe Boss, Gary Reeves defends Sony and states that the addition of motion-sensing control was not done at the last minute. Well, okay. No big deal right? This has been the party line from Sony ever since E3.
What’s interesting here is this:
Indeed, even Incog, the developer behind WarHawk – the only game at this moment in time that’s been demoed using the tilt sensor – confessed that its demo had only taken a fortnight to come up with.
Speaking to us on the evening of Sony’s conference, Incog’s Dylan Jobe – the chap who demoed the game on-stage – told us, “We’ve really known officially for about a week and a half, and we did the final tuning just a couple of days ago.”
So, this can only fuel the belief that Sony copied Nintendo’s Wii-mote as a last minute effort to make the PS3′s big event that much more relevant. Only the Sony big wigs will know for sure if this was case, and for now, they all seem to be firmly in line.
