The Wii’s Mystery Flap

After lots of speculation, Nintendo has finally revealed what is under the little flap on the front of the Wii. I have been reading some pretty ridiculous thoughts that people had about what would be there over the past few weeks, and sadly they will be disappointed. It seems that Nintendo has simply placed a slot for SD cards to be inserted. I guess when you really think about it, this is no surprise seeing as they lacked a storage medium of any sort up until this point. I hope there are more surprises to come with the Wii, but for now, all the fanboy dreams of a virtual reality projector being under that flap are officially shot down. Oh well, life goes on…

More than a year later everybody seems genuinely amazed that the Wii has an SD-slot behind The Flap. Which in turn amazes me… Very, very odd.
It’s the little things in life that are most important.
