System Shock 3… In Development?
The Internet Crazy Train Rumor Mill is at it again.
Supposedly, System Shock 3 is in development by the same team at EA that developed The Godfather. I find this news bittersweet. On one hand, if done right, System Shock 3 could be the game we’ve all been waiting for. You know, the game that Deus Ex 2 was supposed to be (and wasn’t). You know, the whole reason everyone is so excited about Bioshock.
On the other hand, EA.
And the fact that it’s the same team that brought us The Godfather game. So, when does the Clockwork Orange video game come out?
Nothing about these rumors instills any confidence that System Shock 3 will be a game worth buying. If they prove true, this could be a huge test for EA. Have they been able to change their corporate culture enough to bring forth an in-house developed product that doesn’t completely stink up the shelves with it’s wretchedness?
