Saint’s Row for the Xbox 360, new GTA?

Grand Theft Auto has been one of the most selling, most compelling and most controversial games out there for years now. People have complained about everything they can think of to try to destroy our love of this game, but there is something that keeps us coming back, and it’s not just the sexual themes that the press keeps promising us all. With a world as vast as San Andreas to kill, maim, and destroy to our hearts content, no wonder people love it and why people try to copy it.

Months back I heard a whisper among the three Xbox 360 owners I know in my little town that a new game was coming called Saint’s Row on the 360 to try to take GTA off of its throne. I forgot about this for a while thinking that is was just another one of the thousands of GTA clones but today I came across a video for Saint’s Row. It sparked my interest, but videos are better than words.

It looks promising, and with about 40 hours of solo missions and multiple Xbox Live options it might just be worth a play. We’ll just have to wait until August 29th to see.

I think if anything, it will be better then GTA:SA if even that. But GTA 4 will kill it first day it’s released.
