Gaming Drought?

I don’t know how much certain gaming analysts get paid, but whatever it is it’s too much. Summer is upon us and any gamer knows that means maybe 2 good games will come out within the next 3 months, and that number is very hopeful.

Analysts at NPD are up in a hizzy over the drop in game sales in the month of May. Sales have dropped by 10% and they seem to think a mysterious force from outside the cosmos is causing it. They act as if this was not expected, I mean they know its summer right. When there are fewer games to buy, guess what, people buy fewer games. One of there main points was the fact that the Xbox 360’s software sales had decreased by 28 million. To understand why, all you have to do is think about what is going to happen within the next 6 months, there will be a launch of 2 new consoles and a huge surge of 360 games.

I don’t see low sales number, I see people saving for the system, or 360 games they want come holiday time. It is becoming more expensive then ever to be a gamer and I think fluctuations in the market are going to become more and more common as we struggle to choose our place on the couch.

Analysts, we don’t need no stinking analyst!
