I would venture to say that there are a few readers out there who have already made the switch. By “the switch”, I am talking about the jump from the original DS to the new and very improved DS Lite. I have been playing mine non-stop since I got it a mere two days ago. This new hardware completely gives new life to all of the great games that have made the DS such an enjoyable ride thus far. I write this post for one reason, and one reason only. I am on a mission to share the greatness of this new and greatly improved DS hardware. For those of you who are a bit skeptical of this greatness I speak of, I have included a link to a series of great video reviews on the hardware. Cabel of Cabel’s Blog has put together these video reviews of the DS Lite hardware for everyones’ viewing pleasure. Once you watch these, I feel confident that you will be convinced that Nintendo’s handheld rebuild is well worth the upgrade. Take this chance to see what you have been missing.

You know, if it weren’t for the fact that I *just* bought a “classic” DS 2 months ago (damn me!) I’d be all over the Lite. Instead, I’ll be rocking my fire-engine red brick Mariokart edition DS.

I also encourage everyone to get the DS Lite. I love my Enamel Navy DS Lite, it’s great.
