I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

Creating new accounts for areas you don’t live in is against Live’s TOS. It’s potentially bannable. I doubt much will happen, but it’s worth nothing.

I’ve heard similar thoughts on the demo from others, but I have to wonder what most people might have expected given what the game has portrayed itself as for so long now through movies and articles. Some people like those slow, plodding, more realistic mech type sims I guess.

Still, it does sound boring lol

    I meant, “noting”. I thought I corrected that…

  • Ducker says:

Its slow yes and a bit boring… you have to press the joystick in to swap first and 3rd person views… turn when your in 3rd person its much faster.. it was ok cept i ran out of fuel!

  • Sam says:

Omg you have to watch a fuel gage? Uggg. Having played games such as (every single)Gundam, Mech Assult, Mech Warriors etc, I was fairly sure the mechs were going to be slow and hulking. Are there faster, smaller, less armed mechs? Do you get to design your own mech in the demo? Do you get to play a night-time mission? There is just too much in this game to say it’s good or bad from a single demo I think. We will all know the 11th (I’m just hoping the US gets the demo at some point before then.. it’s a travesty that the games #1 market doesn’t get the demo first)

Major Nelson is a twit “Chromehounds Demo now Available!!! Except.. to you Americans!”

Im downloading it right now, and so far I dont have great expectations for it. I will give it a try though. Now for the TOS violation…it will only ban that created account, not all on the hard drive right? Because im not going to use this account for anything else after the DL. Email any response to the please.

    Thank you,
    Nick

The idea behind Chromehounds is not as a pure Mechassault action game. Having not played the demo, but owning the full game, the single player (if those were any of the demo levels) is basicly designed as a boot camp style training for the online game.
Unlike games such as mechassault or gundam you have the ability to FULLY customize your mech. if you want a heavily armored, slow Hound that can hit at extreme long range you can make it. Just make sure your buddy playing with you is able to have a faster mech to help you spot your artillary rounds landing 1500 meters away.
This is deffinatly a squad based online game. If you don’t have XBL Gold, don’t waste your money on it.
The closest thing I can think of to this game is Ghost Recon with mechs…but you can build your guy.
