More Movie/TV Games to Come
Well this was unexpected. Reservoir Dogs is coming to the PC, PS2 and XBox. Sounds like it’s not going to be “Next-Gen” though. Oh well, it was one of the best movies ever. Set in the third-person, IGN has the scoop on the premise and it looks promising!:
“What happened to Mr. Blue and Mr. Brown?”, “Where did Mr. Pink hide the diamonds?”, and “What actually happened at the heist?” According to Helen Lawson, Eidos Interactive’s Brand Manager, the game will appeal to “both movie and gaming fans, and offers an unprecedented opportunity to play through the events of the movie and fill in the gaps.”
A couple of other movie/TV classics turned into a game that I’m also looking forward to playing is Scarface which is also a third-person GTA-style game. I worked with a guy on Stargate who worked on Scarface’s animations/particles. I remember him saying the game will never be finised, that it will be something like 3 years in the making. Then there’s the The Sopranos. Oh and there’s also 24 and ER. Not to sure about a Desperate Housewives game however.
