I agree Scy, they were indeed rushed. It's a race against time for the game companies from the time they get the dev kits to their "expected" game release date.

I think it depends on the game and the licensing deals as to which game gets priority on which platform. I think it's a lot more cost-effective to develop a game on the PC then a console. Perhaps there's a lot more money to be spent on migrating a game to a console as well. So maybe that's the reason why they cost more? I'm not really sure.

Kenny, yes you're right. Although I just read that 360's will always be available when you enter a store now. We'll see!

I sympathtise but even though you said it yourself, people can't buy more simply because there aren't any 360s available for purchase. Its just stupid.

honestly i dont think its the lack of 360s out there that caused EA's losses this year. Its the dissappointing overpriced games EA rushed out. FIFA for x360 was a disaster, NHL was barely distinguishable from the current gen versions, Madden didn't meet the target video and lacked some features present in the current gen versions, Tiger woods doesn't look too promising and NBA live, while looking fabulous, was again lacking some features.
microsoft is partly to blame - rushing the 360 out cut down development cycles. And then alot of gamers don't appreciate certain aspects of early next-gen such as soft/self shadowing, better antialiasing, shaders etc. so you've got people on forums comparing stuff like alan wake to gta san andreas.
best of luck trying to break into EA, keep trying it'll get better a couple of months or a year into the ps3/rev launches when most games will look more like what the avg consumer expects from next gen.

ps. i've never understood this, a new pc game which looks like a next-gen console game costs the same as a current gen console game. production costs MUST be higher for these games, then why are we expected to pay premiums for next gen games that look the same?
