Well I just finished Chapter 1 of Samorost 2. Grrr…now I “have” to buy it in order to see what’s next! Actually I’ll be honest, I cheated a wee bit and looked at two, just two spoiler comments on Jay is Games to help me get through it. Call it a lack of patience.

After playing Samorost, I had a flashback to when I was a kid reading a book that had a tremendous impact on me at the time. The book is called The Secret World of Og and it was written by the famous Canadian (yay) author Pierre Berton, and the illustrations were done by his daughter. I see a lot of similarities in the art with Samorost and Og. Maybe the game’s creator(s) had read Og too?
