Win an XBOX 360 around the web
No I’m not superstitious but I’m probably jinxing this. I’ve just entered a bunch of XBOX 360 contests. Well ok not a lot, but a few here and there. I won’t win, I’ve never won anything! I was near a Futureshop (like Best Buy and owned by Best Buy) today hoping that they’d have a 360 Kiosk kicking around, nope! Nothing. All they had was an empty shelf with a sign that said “Coming Soon” and a TV turned off with an XBOX 360 Controller sticking out of it. The controller was nice though!

Then there’s Best Buy’s contest here in Canada. They’re giving away just one.
Mass Effect and Bioware are giving one of three away. No, you can’t have all three! The catch? Create an account and you must answer a skill testing question. Yes, this is a Canadian thing. You see the Government thinks we’re stupid so in order to win prizes, the make us write Math exams too.
Microsoft Gadgets is giving one away if you are willing and able to write about a Gadget for them.
Stereogum and Thrice are giving one away with a simple signup form. Must be a US resident (doh) even though it asks for a “zip or postal code”. What gives? That’s misleading man.
If you’re a code head, The Code Project is giving a 360 away. “The Race to Linux challenges Visual Studio developers to port existing ASP.NET applications to Linux using their cross-platform tool of choice (e.g. Grasshopper, Mono, PHP, Macromedia, etc). The applications to be ported to run on Linux will be announced at the start of each race. The hardware used for judging will be IBM xSeries.”

Of course I just googled this. There’s a million more sites out there that offer a chance to win if you just sign up for their site. Go for it, you have nothing to lose.
