    VisitorVille: Sim City For Web-Stats

    By Shane | November 5, 2005

v45734543.jpgHere’s a cool idea for you website/blog owners out there. VisitorVille allows you to track your webstats in the most creative way – in a real-time, bustling, metaphorical 3D city interface. Think Sim City meets web stats. The more traffic you have on your website, the more people you’ll see walking around in your city. If someone leaves your site, a little skeleton will appear from the last building (page) they were on. A building represents a webpage on your site. Go inside the building or house depending on which view you choose to see (or meet) the people on that specific page.

v45766455423.jpgI’m checking out the demo now which you can download for a trial period. The demo will only track 100 visitors however and some features are disabled. I think it’s a neat idea myself. VisitorVille also includes your regular text-based stats if you want to look at them that way too. To get the full version you’ll have to pay a monthly fee of anywhere between $10-$170 depending on how many visitors you want to track.
