My vision of an XBOX Portable

I was bored today and have time to kill as I’m not working on Stargate anymore. I’ve seen a few renditions of what some people think an XBOX portable could look like. I thought they were decent, so I created my own. As you can see I just took the “X” logo and made it the console itself. I grabbed the buttons and joysticks from the new controller and stuck those on. Voila! XBOX Portable.

My vision is that it would use a holographic projection from the big “X” in the interface to display a screen. When you turn the system off, the “X” would close up on itself or transform, making it smaller and easier to carry around. Basically you’re left with a pill-shaped piece. It would be no wider than a PSP. I realize this really isn’t possible, or is it? Maybe I’ve seen too much special FX from working on a Sci-Fi show. We can all dream though.

This is in no way, shape or form a real XBOX Portable. This is simply my vision, a prototype or rendition of what I imagine an XBOX Portable gaming system could look like. It isn’t real! I had fun making it and it’s a great time-killer, plus I need to keep my Photoshop’n up to par. Although this was pretty easy. The perspective is off on the controllers but I didn’t want to spend the time making them in 3D Max. Some other day perhaps.
