Gaming in Brazil
I just finished reading the Escapist’s article on the significance of retro game consoles and the role they play in Brazil. I still haven’t had the time to watch the documentary titled “Gamer Br”, which is about game culture in Brazil. I actually had no idea this underground world existed. It’s amazing to think that Brazil, and the gamers who live there, could open the eyes of the video game companies to stop pumping out so many unimaginative titles. I myself wasn’t aware of the console clones being mass produced in China, like the ‘Polystation’ – which NES Player has a write up on. I almost want to say Polystain. Boing Boing has a picture of the Polystain..’er Polystation as well.
