A quick impression of Kameo

e32001_kameo_01.jpgI had my first go at the 360 today. All that was in the drive was Kameo, so that was what I played. Surprisingly, only one guy was there, that is until I started playing and five more guys show up. I only had 5 minutes to play, so my initial impression of the games graphics was that it looked very sharp and rich in colour. The TV was an HDTV, and because I’ve never seen a game on an HDTV before, I noticed a big difference. I was really impressed in that respect. Now I can’t tell you if a computer monitor is better or not then a 780p or 1080i HDTV, but it was like looking at a 2 mega pixel image (my BENQ FP931 flat screen monitor) and a 10 mega pixel image (an HDTV) of the same resolution. I’ve been playing PC games these days that seemed to equal Kameo in graphical performance, but it was the richness of Kameo through the HDTV that made it jump out. I guess one could get an HDTV computer monitor couldn’t they?

I really think we’ll see some amazing games on the 360 in another 6-12 months. We’ve already seen trailers for some, haven’t we? I’ll hold off though until a few good games come out, that is unless I win one. I’ve lost count at how many contests I’ve entered.

Yes, a good computer monitor these days is better than 720p or 1080i HDTV.

    That’s what I thought. Thanks!
