The weekend is here. Time for rest, relaxation and a little indie gaming. I gave Binary Sun’s Super Gerball a go today. Binary Sun is an independant games developer and publisher which produces some fun, family games. I like their puzzle games a lot, like “Seth’s Puzzle Boxes”.

Super Gerball is like Super Monkey Ball, Marble Madness and the old, fun board game Mouse Trap – all in one. Only this time you’re a gerbal in a glass ball. I liked that it was nice and easy to navigate the ball through the obstacle courses although I wished that the camera angles were operable with the mouse. Staying in a fixed position though meant it offered more of a challenge – which is great! Playing the game on “easy” was probably to easy for me. It was more for the very young kids. “Medium” was a challenge though, “hard” and “freeplay” wern’t available for the free demo.

The graphics were colourful and cartoony and Gerball was just an entertaining game all around to play. I do like these type of games as I’ve mentioned them here, here and here. Binary Sun has many other games up for free download too. Give them a try.

I should probably poit out that I wasn’t the developer and am just selling the game for a friend, but thanks for the free advert – it was a pleasant surprise to go through my feeds and see Binary Sun mentioned :)

Ok thanks Ben. I’ll adjust my entry. Who are the developers? I couldn’t see that info.

    cheers

Si Design developed it, the official website is here – http://www.supergerball.com/

Also you mentioned the static camera, I can’t remember what button it is but one of them swings the camera through 90 degrees which makes some of the puzzles easier (especially in the full version)
