Risky Gameboy Advance Ads: No Girlfriendo

I’m not too sure this ad is real. If it is, it’s a risky one for Nintendo. They’re not known for ads like these. Of course he’s just…ahem playing his Nintendo. Where’s his Girlfriendo?

  • Yep, I think the advertising world is chaotic. It's so competitive and finely targeted. Not to mention more clever and creative then it used to be.

    That's the lodown of the advertising world! Alot of ads were done for award shows, some real. I couldnt tell which is which anymore as some real ads only ran a couple of times and in some obscure publications, whereas some fake ads ran all over the place.

    Its the creativity that counts for me.
  • Very true. I guess it was a clever ad created by someone unknown. Which reminds me of a few of the spoof video ads that are on the net these days. Like the VW shoe bomber or Unibomber ad? It looked very pro but it wasn't made by VW.

    The Japanese text is supposed to be a translation of the NA advertising slogan "Who are you?" but to my knowledge, that ad slogan is not used in Japan. Besides, N would never use nudity in any ads in NA.
