A Fresh Mint
So I just installed Shaun Inman’s Mint. Mint is a real-time web stats application which allows a website owner to view information about their site’s visitors, plus a whole whack more. I was using StatCounter for a while but I’m thinking I will exclude it from my bookmarks. Aside from looking pretty, Mint is well…Mint! The basic Mint after you install, offers info for visitors, referrers, pages hit and search queries. As well as a lot of detail for each of those sections. The beauty of Mint though, is that you can download and develop plugins with Pepper – which is Mint’s plugin API. I now have added features in there like browser details, fancy graphs and sites visiting from different languages. Mint is only $30 US and is well worth it the price for a very sweet application. There are a few features that I’d like to see added, but Mint is new and full of potential. So I look forward to seeing it grow.
